Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has highlighted the three qualities that have stood out in Mohammed Kudus’ recent performances, following another decisive showing from the Ghanaian in Spurs’ 3-0 Champions League victory over Slavia Praha on Tuesday night.
Kudus was instrumental as Tottenham recovered from their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, converting a composed penalty to double Spurs’ lead after a David Zima own goal, before Xavi Simons added the third from the spot. The win strengthens Spurs’ push for automatic qualification to the knockout stages and eases some of the pressure on Frank after a difficult run of results.
The 25-year-old has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers this season following his summer move from West Ham United, providing creativity and flair from the right flank. His six assists in all competitions underline his influence, and his recent displays have impressed his manager.
Frank praised Kudus’ renewed sharpness and detailed the three aspects of his form that he values most.
According to Football London, the Spurs manager noted Kudus’ fresh energy, acceleration, and decisiveness, emphasising that the attacker now looks fully in sync with the rest of the team. Frank added that Kudus’ threat on the break and his ability to take responsibility in key moments were vital against Slavia.
Kudus’ continued availability is also a major boost for Tottenham. With the Africa Cup of Nations beginning on December 21, several Premier League clubs are set to lose key players, but Ghana’s failure to qualify for the tournament means Kudus will remain with Spurs throughout the festive period.
Having been Tottenham’s most dangerous attacker this season, his return to top form comes at a crucial time as the club prepares for a demanding run of fixtures.
