The Circuit court in Accra has placed an interlocutory injunction on the Veterans Administration, Ghana (VAG), preventing it from engaging in lottery or lotto activities that are said to have been diverting millions of Ghana cedis in revenues meant for the state. Three hundred cusual workers in nine public health facilities in the Accra metropolis have appealed to the ministers of Health and Finance to speed up the process of regularising their employment status with the Ghana Health Service (GHS). The International Central Gospel Church, Shiloh Temple at Obuasi, has adopted the Children’s Ward of the Obuasi Government Hospital. The ward was cleaned, colourfully painted and  its mosquito nets replaced. A DAF truck, with registration number AS 6648-09, over-loaded with charcoal broke down along the Anloga Junction to KNUST (Tech) Junction, causing heavy traffic on the road last Friday. The truck was supported with beams to hold it from falling on its side, posing danger to pedestrians, especially schoolchildren who use that portion of the road. Two Bangladeshis have been arrested by the Anti-Human Smuggling and Trafficking in Persons Unit (AHSTIP) of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) for allegedly smuggling other Bangladeshi migrants into the country. The two, Abu Naser and Mohammed Yousuf Khondakar, were arrested at Kasoa in the Central Region following a tip-off.
