The Network of Administrative Professionals of Ghana has highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology in ensuring job security and competitiveness in the profession.
The group stressed that Personal Assistants (PAs), Executive Assistants (EAs), and Administrative Professionals must embrace AI to stay efficient and relevant in their roles as the nature of work evolves.
AI is transforming the workplace, automating routine tasks, analyzing data, and providing insights that were once unimaginable. This shift presents both challenges and opportunities for administrative professionals.
The group’s president, Rebecca Afful, expressed the organization’s commitment to supporting its members through training and mentorship programs.
Speaking at the two-day Administrative Professionals Summit in Accra, Ms. Afful stated: “One key takeaway from the event is the clear need for administrative professionals to embrace AI and technology to remain competitive and efficient in their roles.
“We have resolved to provide ongoing support for our members through training and mentorship programs. Additionally, we aim to strengthen the sense of community within our group, encouraging more knowledge sharing and collaboration among members.”
Ms. Afful added that the Network is working towards becoming a household name, both locally and globally, by increasing its membership through workshops, training sessions, and networking opportunities. She also revealed plans to turn the summit into an international event to attract professionals from across the world.
“We want to create a platform where administrative professionals globally can network, learn, and share best practices. We are also exploring partnerships with corporate sponsors to make the event bigger, better, and more impactful,” she noted.
The Network of Administrative Professionals of Ghana was established to provide a community where professionals like Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Office Managers, and Secretaries could connect, share best practices, and address industry-specific challenges.
As technology continues to change the demands of the profession, the group seeks to equip its members with the necessary tools to not only adapt but thrive.
The summit, themed “The Future Role of the Administrative Professional and AI,” focused on empowering administrative professionals to leverage AI and technology to advance their careers and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
