Kudus finished fifth in the voting process, however, earning six votes from FIFA’s astute panelists, and seven from fans.
The voting process was shared among the two voting groups: fans & a panel of FIFA legends.
The allocation of points was done based on their positions—five for first, three for second, and one for third. Additionally, the selection from the two voting groups counted for 50% of the total vote.
Garnacho’s 26 points were the most, placing him first and beating off competition from his fellow competitors.
