Daily Guide has been recognised as the Best Designed newspaper 2023 by the Private Newspapers and Online Publishers Association (PRINPAG).
The prestigious award was dedicated to the newspaper’s cherished readers for their loyalty.
The event was held on Friday December 20 at Sunlodge Hotel in Accra, where other media houses were also awarded for their contribution to quality journalism in Ghana.
Receiving the award on behalf of Daily Guide was Alhaji A. R. Gomda, the Chief News Editor of the media outlet.
He expressed gratitude to the organisers of the awards and credited PRINPAG for instituting such an award scheme to recognise quality journalism and foster unity in the industry. Gomda assured PRINPAG and the readers of Daily Guide that the newspaper will continue to strive for excellence and churn out accurate news reports.
Daily Guide is a privately owned daily newspaper, owned by the Blay Family and published in Accra, Ghana. The paper started in 1984 and is published six times a week. It is regarded as the most circulated independent paper in Ghana with a readership of about 50,000 copies a day. Samuel Amponsah Boadi is the editor of the newspaper, with Fortune Alimi as Executive Editor and Alhaji A.R Gomda as Chief News Editor.
The award is a testament to the commitment of Daily Guide to quality journalism, and it is expected that the newspaper would continue to play a significant role in the media landscape of Ghana.
