The Municipal Chief Executive (DCE) for Atebubu-Amantin Municipality and the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Biakoye District have both resigned from their positions.
The resignation of Edward Owusu, MCE for Atebubu-Amantin in the Bono East Region and Millicent Kabuki Carboo, DCE for Biakoye in the Oti Region was announced on Thursday, October 10 in a statement by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development.
The reason for their resignation has not yet been disclosed.
The Local Government Ministry has since directed the Regional Ministers for the two regions to act in their stead until a substantive appointment is made by the President.
“The Ministry takes this opportunity to express its appreciation to Edward Owusu and Millicent Carboo for their dedicated service and contributions to the development of their respective Assemblies,” the Ministry said in its statement.
