The Black Stars will once again miss key players for their crucial fixtures against Angola and Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
While Otto Addo who returned to take the job of the head coach permanently has not not had to deal with two many injuries, he will now have to navigate his way as a few players miss the next assignment.
Gideon Mensah
The Auxerre left-back was last in action during Ghana’s previous assignment as he appears to be a crucial part of Otto Addo’s rebuilding plan.
He lasted the full throttle of both games against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) and provided an assist in the latter at the Baba Yara Stadium. However, he has been sidelined with injury and his place is taken by Ebenezer Annan and Kingsley Shindler.
Ernest Nuamah
After helping Ghana to secure a 2-1 win over Mali by scoring the crucial equaliser in the 2026 World Cup qualifier, the 20-year-old will miss out for the first time under Otto Addo.
The winger lasted only 17 miniutes over the weekend when Olympique Lyon faced AS Monaco in Ligue 1 having picked up an injury early in the game.
Salis Abdul Samed
Salis Abdul Samed is yet to play competitive football this season resulting in his eventual omision from the squad. Further reports suggest he is not fully fit dealing Ghana a major blow in midfielder. The 24-year-old is expected to complete a move to SUnderland as he aims to revive his form.
?Kamaldeen Sulemana
Sulemana was part of the previous squad and played a key role in Ghana’s back-to-back wins over Mali and CAR but has picked another injury essentially ruling him out.
The winger will focus on his rehabilitation in Southampton as the Saints aim to retain their top flight status.

?Ibrahim Sulemana
The Atalanta midfielder was sidelined due to injury and will be aiming to return in time for the next international window. He has emerged as a promising talent expected to strengthen the Black Stars’ midfield, particularly given the recent injury challenges facing the team.
As a result, Otto Addo will rely on the players at his disposal to ensure Ghana achieves positive outcomes in the upcoming matches.
Ghana will host Angola in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday, September 5, before taking on Niger on Monday, September 9.
