Leandro Trossard insists that Arsenal will have to be at their very best in their UEFA Champions League second-leg clash when they travel to the Allianz Arena in Germany to take on Bayern Munich.
The Gunners shared the spoils with the Bavarians in an enthralling 2-2 result at the Arsenal Stadium on Tuesday night, with Trossard’s 76th-minute strike canceling out Bayern Munich’s 2-1 lead courtesy goals from Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry. Arsenal had earlier broken the deadlock through Bukayo Saka.
Speaking after the game, Trossard expressed his confidence in his team to get the job done in the second leg, yet believes the Gunners will have to play at the highest level in order to qualify for the semifinals of the competition.
“I think not pleased but obviously being 2-1 at halftime you’ll take a point at the end. Obviously, I think we started well so well the first half. The first 15-20 minutes were so good and then yeah we could have scored two or three I think and when they scored the equalizer, well…..you can see the kind of quality they have to hurt us as well. At the end of the day it’s a draw and we have to finish it off when we get there”, he said.
