West Ham United boss David Moyes has expressed his satisfaction with his attackers’ performance including Mohammed Kudus against Newcastle United over the weekend.
The 23-year-old found himself on the score sheet with a record-breaking goal as he surpassed Andre Ayew as the highest-scoring Ghanaian for the Hammers.
Kudus went on to assist but it was not enough to even salvage a point as the Magpies fought back to snatch a 4-3 victory.

Speaking after the game and ahead of the team’s next game against Tottenham Hotspurs, Moyes expressed disappointment in the outcome of the previous game. He was however pleased with his attackers’ display.
“Our attacking players have been very good in recent weeks, and that was the case again against Newcastle at the weekend.
“I thought some of the individual performances were excellent, and Michail Antonio, Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen all got on the scoresheet,” he said.
“Mick getting another goal is very important, and he took his chance very well. All round I think our forward play is very good, and hopefully it is again on Tuesday night.”

Mohammed Kudus’ contribution also saw him reach double digits in goal involvement in the Premier League as he now has seven goals and four assists.
As they clash in the London derby on Tuesday night, the manager is counting on his players to bounce back despite acknowledging the difficulty of the task.
“Over the last three or four years, we’ve always tried to challenge the big teams at home, and we’ve enjoyed some really good results,” Moyes added.
“There are a lot of really good teams in the Premier League, with top players, and we always want to take the game to them and give our supporters something to shout about.”
“We want to keep the good times coming, and a London derby is something that’s easy to get excited about. We’re looking forward to it, and hopefully we can pick up the right result.”
