Renowned musician, King Paluta has recounted his upbringing stressing that his father was absent in his life in his childhood days.
Speaking in an interview on the Delay Show, King Paluta said he was raised solely by his mother who gave birth to him out of wedlock.
The musician said neither his mother nor himself knew the whereabouts of his father back then, although they both believed he was still in Ghana.
“I didn’t see my father often. I think I was raised by a single mother. Before I was born, my parents were not married. When I came into the world, my dad was away. He was in Ghana, but we had no idea of his whereabouts,” he said.

He stressed that he only met his father at the age of nineteen years old when he came to visit them in Kumasi.
“It wasn’t until I was 19 or 20 years old that I met him. He came to my mother and she discussed marriage with him. My father was the only man my mother had,” he added.
He clarified that his mother had deliberately chosen not to be with any other man during this entire period. He didn’t know why exactly, though, other than to assume that “her interest in men withered after the separation, so her focus shifted to her children.”
The musician said his parents’ relationship had rekindled before his father’s death in 2022.
King Paluta disclosed that he wrote his first song back in 2004, showcasing his love of music and his willingness to pay for studio sessions with his school fees.
As of right now, he is a well-known musician whose songs are receiving a lot of views.
