Ghana’s women’s 4x100m relay team clinched the bronze medal at the 2023 African Games, following their impressive performance in the final held on Wednesday night at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.
The quartet comprising Hor Halutie, Boakye Marry, Janet Mensah, and Doris Mensah delivered a commendable display in the fiercely contested race, clocking a time of 44.21 seconds to secure the bronze medal.

This achievement marks a significant accomplishment for the team, particularly after missing out on individual medals in their earlier races.
The team’s performance reflects a remarkable improvement from their previous international outing, where they finished seventh at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Nigeria won the race. The team led by Tobi Amusan clinched gold with 43.05 seconds, with Liberia placing second with a time of 44.02.
