Renowned Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene was involved in a car accident on Sunday night, sustaining various injuries.
The incident took place at CP, near the DSTV office, en route to the Dzowulu traffic light in Accra.
According to eyewitness accounts, the artist was driving a Range Rover with registration number GC-220-21 when he collided with a tipper truck that was moving slowly due to poor visibility caused by darkness and the lack of tail lights.
Editor for Modern Ghana news portal, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, who witnessed the accident, recounted that he was behind Kuami Eugene’s car and was the first to offer assistance.
He helped the musician and his male passenger out of the vehicle before arranging for them to be transported to the University Of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

“I was behind him, and so I was the first person to rush to his rescue. Kuami was struggling to come out so I brought him out of the car and helped the passenger too, before some guys also came around. I arranged for a vehicle to convey them to the UGMC hospital,” he told Myjoyonline.com.
Wishing Kuami Eugene a speedy recovery.

Abugri believes that the accident was caused by the poor lighting conditions on the N1 highway and the lack of visibility, which made it difficult for Kuami Eugene to see the slow-moving tipper truck ahead.
Kuami Eugene appeared to have suffered a broken arm, cuts on his lips, legs, and hips, as well as blood on his hands. Despite the severity of the accident, the musician is reported to be in stable condition.
Police officers from the Achimota Police Station were called to the scene, and the car was towed away.
The male passenger did not seem to have any visible physical injuries but complained of pain in his neck and back.
