Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus, outpacing Arsenal with a more compelling offer.
As Ajax consider selling several key players ahead of the upcoming season, the 22-year-old midfielder has emerged as a hot prospect in the Premier League market.
Kudus’ value has skyrocketed following an impressive World Cup performance with Ghana in Qatar, where he scored two goals in three games and 18 goals in all competitions for Ajax, with four coming in the Champions League group stage.
The attacking midfielder was on the verge of joining Everton last season, but Chelsea’s interest has grown, and the Blues appear capable of outbidding their London rivals Arsenal in any potential deal.

Arsenal’s financial situation makes acquiring Kudus’ services difficult. They must sell players, and while Kierney and Falorin Balogun have the potential to raise up to £70 million, the process is expected to take time.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have been proactive in reducing their squad this transfer window, putting them in a better position to offer clarity on the price to Ajax and potential wages for Kudus. The Ghana international is expected to fetch around £40 million.
Would you be happy with Kudus?
Personally, I'd be excited to see him at the Bridge. He reminds me a little of Florent Malouda. Hopefully, we can get this deal over the line. pic.twitter.com/clek9c9Goq

Kudus, a product of Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy, joined Ajax for €9 million from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland. He has two years left on his current deal after rejecting a one-year extension in April this year.
