Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has expressed optimism about the Black Stars' growth ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, pointing to improving team chemistry as a key factor.
Speaking to Adom Sports, Ayew reflected on Ghana's strong finish to the qualifiers, which saw the team record five wins and a draw in their final six matches.
"I believe we have a good team, and, as time goes on, we are improving. We haven't had much time to train together, but the unity is getting better and everything is improving," he said.
The captain backed the core group that secured qualification, suggesting major changes may not be necessary.
"I think the players who played during the qualifiers have done extremely well. I don't think we need any additions."
Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Panama, and Croatia for the tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
While acknowledging the final decision rests with head coach Otto Addo, Ayew stressed that any new additions must match the commitment of the current squad.
"Whoever is added must be ready to give their all and put on a show."
Ghana will open their campaign against Panama in Toronto before facing England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia.
