The Super Eagles returned to training in Fes on Thursday as preparations continued for Saturday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal against Algeria.
The session followed earlier disruptions caused by unresolved bonus payments, which had raised concerns over the team’s build-up to the decisive fixture. Despite the outstanding issue, the players trained as planned and remained focused on the task ahead.
Sources around the camp say there is optimism that the bonus matter will be resolved soon, allowing full attention to shift to the quarterfinal showdown, where a place in the semifinals is at stake.
Nigeria have impressed at the tournament so far, winning all their group matches before recording a commanding victory in the round of 16, and will be aiming to maintain that momentum against a strong Algerian side on Saturday in Marrakech.
