Danish-born Ghanaian forward Malik Pimpong scored for FC FC Midtjylland U19 in the UEFA Youth League against FC Koln on Wednesday night.
Pimpong, son of former Black Stars striker Razak Pimpong, who is following the footsteps of his father, could not rescue the Danish outfit from elimination despite his exploits.
Pimpong's second half strike only lasted for two minutes as the rampant Germany U19 champions produced a strong second half display to beat FC Midtjylland 4-1, and secure a 5-2 aggregate win.
Fynn Schenten opened the scoring for the visitors halfway in the first half, but Pimpong responded moments after the break.
The Germans seized control of the game after Kristiyan Irmiev netted in the 50th minute before Schenten added his second with 25 minutes remaining.
Jonathan Friemel sealed victory for FC Koln with eight minutes remaining to ensure the Billy Goats progressed in the UEFA youth tournament.
Pimpong, who has already represented Denmark at youth levels, remains eligible to play for Ghana's Black Stars.
