Black Queens forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah starred for Nottingham Forest Women on Sunday, scoring a brace to lead the team to defeat Sunderland Women 3-1 in the Women’s Super League 2.
The 30-year-old started the Round 10 fixture of the league campaign and played the entire duration of the contest.
In the entertaining fixture played at City Ground, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah broke the deadlock in the 19th minute after she was set up by defender Chloe Mustaki.
Later in the 31st minute, Forest scored their second, this time around through Aimee Claypole, to ensure they took a comfortable lead into the break.
After recess, Sunderland Women put up a fight and managed to halve the deficit in the 69th minute when Emily Scarr pulled one back for the side.
Unfortunately, that was all the fight in the visitors as Nottingham Forest immediately took control of the game.
Late in the 87th minute, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah scored her second of the day, sealing a 3-1 triumph for Nottingham Forest Women to earn all three points for the team.
With her two goals on Sunday, the Black Queens forward now has four goals in 10 appearances this season.
