Nana Akua Addo
Ghanaian fashion influencer, Nana Akua Addo, has addressed recent criticisms regarding her absence from public events while frequently posting edited images on her social media platforms.
The controversy began when ttrlifestyle, an Instagram fashion blog, shared a post titled “Nana Akua’s 10 Most Iconic Fashion Moments of All Time,” showcasing some of her stunning red carpet looks.
The post, however, attracted negative comments from followers, including one user, Limitlessregisterednurse, who remarked, “My major problem is that seeing her live is very much different from these pictures.”
In response to the backlash, Nana Akua Addo defended her choice of sharing well-edited photos rather than walking the red carpet, citing issues with poor photography that can detract from the beauty of her designs.
“Darling, it’s just bad paparazzi who will crown a beautiful moment with a horrible picture. I need to control the online narrative,” she stated.
Nana Akua Addo has faced ongoing scrutiny from fashion critics who argue that she relies heavily on photoshop for her online presence instead of appearing at events.
