Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Special Aide to newly sworn-in President John Dramani Mahama, has voiced her confidence in the President’s newly appointed team, highlighting their capacity to meet the high expectations of Ghanaians.
Speaking on Channel One TV, Mogtari expressed optimism in the new appointees and yet to be appointed.
“I feel humbled and deeply grateful to God for this day. Expectations are very high, and I am confident this team will deliver,” Mogtari said.
Madam Joyce Bawa spoke when she arrived at the Black Star Square for the inauguration of John Mahama and his vice president, on January 7.
President Mahama on Monday, January 6, announced some key appointees, including Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu as Acting Spokesperson, Dr. Callistus Mahama as Executive Secretary, Prosper Douglas Bani as Head of the Interim Security Taskforce, and Augustus Goosie Tanoh as Presidential Advisor on the 24-hour economy and export development. Mogtari described the appointees as exceptionally talented, calling their selection “one of the best decisions ever made.”
Meanwhile, President Mahama outlined four focus areas under his “Reset Ghana” agenda: economic recovery, business environment improvements, governance reforms, and fighting corruption.
He reassured businesses and investors of Ghana’s openness, promising a fair and transparent tax regime and the creation of well-paying jobs for the youth when he delivered his inaugural speech.
“This is a new beginning,” Mahama stated, urging Ghanaians to unite in shaping a prosperous future.
