Ghanaian Afrobeats singer Sefa has officially announced her departure from Black Avenue Muzik, the label founded by rapper D Black.
Sefa joined Black Avenue Muzik in 2018. After an initial five-year spell at the record label, she extended her contract for a year and spent six successful years of collaboration and growth in her musical career.
The artiste has now bid a good bye to the label which helped her achieved a significant chapter in her musical journey.
In a post on her Instagram story on December 3 2024, Sefa noted her decision marks an exciting new chapter in her journey as an artiste.
“When I joined the label in 2018, I did do with hopes and dreams of sharing my voice, my music, and my passion with the world. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with talented individuals, releasing music that resonates with so many, and growing into the artiste I am today,” Sefa said.
In her heartfelt farewell message, Sefa reflected on her time with the label, highlighting her personal and artistic development.
She expressed gratitude towards Black Avenue Muzik for its platform, acknowledging the experiences and connections she made during her time with the stable.
“Thank you, Black Avenue Muzik for being a part of my story. And to my fans, thank you for being the foundation of my success.”
Sefa urged her fans to continue with their support as she embarks on a new chapter and journey.
“As I move forward, I promise to continue giving you music that speaks to your hearts, moves your souls and celebrates the vibrant culture we share. This is just the beginning of something truly special, and I am excited to take you along with me on this ride.”
