Election 2024: Electoral Commission releases summary of certified voters’ register

The Electoral Commission has released a summary sheet containing details of the certified voters’ register for the December 7 elections.

This followed a request by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

On Wednesday, November 6, the NDC made the request after receiving the final voters’ register from the EC. They contended that the summary data would enhance transparency in the electoral process.

The Chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa responded that the Commission is not legally required to supply a supplementary summary or statistical breakdown.

This notwithstanding the EC has provided the summary to political parties and independent presidential candidates.
