Ghana’s Para Athlete Zinabu Issah competed in the F57 Women’s discus throw event earlier today, and she threw a convincing distance of 26.66 meters to lead that class event which serves as a qualifier to the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.
She has won a gold medal for Ghana at the Ongoing 2024 Grand Prix Marrakech in Morocco.
The qualification mark is 19 meters, and she made 26.66 meter throw meaning she’s in pole position to make the Paralympics and will become the 15th Ghanaian athlete to compete in the World Paralympics event.
Three more Ghanaian athletes are expected to compete in the Grand Prix with hopes of earning places in the Paralympics.
