The central region has suffered its share of the devastating nature of the rains which continue to hit parts of the country.
Four districts have so far been flooded as a result of the rains which has been hitting the region since Monday .
At Assin Darman in the North district , a four- year-old kindergaten pupil has been crushed to death by a collapsed building.
The girl Ama Aboakyewaa was with 5 other family members all adults when the building collapsed in the night .
The other 5 victims who sustained various degrees of injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu.
The building according to the NADMO officials was a weak structure which could not withstand the heavy rainstorm thereby collapsing in the process .
Other Districts like ,Mfanteman, Awutu Senya East and Gomoa East were also not spared the calamitous effect of the rainstorm in the last two days as aside homes which were flooded with some collapsing in the process , some strategic roads were also flooded thereby inhibiting movement.
The road to the government hospital at Mankessim for instance was flooded leaving patients and health workers stranded as they could not access the hospital not even with vehicles .
Another house at Mankessim was also gutted by fire amidst the rain with property running into thousands of Ghana cedis destroyed in the process with fire officers still struggling to identify the cause.
In the Gomoa East district a minimum of 7 houses collapsed during the rainstorm with the occupants having to seek alternative accommodation with family and friends.
Central Regional Public Relations officer of NADMO Eric Arthur spoke to Starr News Central regional correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour on the flood situation and provision to assist victims .
