Call her a woman of many sides; a mother of three, a wife of a busy Doctor – Lawyer; a corporate trainer; a social worker and care giver; a mentor; career coach; motivational speaker; a radio panellist add more and you will be running out of breath.
As a young girl, Rita Anyobodeh Krampah lived in the western regional capital, Takoradi directly opposite the Harbour View at the Takoradi hospital Bungalows at Signal Hill.
She recounts, “We had a lot of family time together like swimming at the beach, picnics, reading, and exchanging books and praying and church activities. Girls or boys, our parents thought us house chores, cooking, washing daddy’s car, changing electric plugs, fixing bulbs, etc.”
Mrs Rita Krampah is an Alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Business School with a BSc in Human Resource Management with specialization in Managerial Science.
She also holds Professional Certifications in Organisational Development, Customer Services Management, Personal financial Management and Adult Learning & Development with over 20 years’ experience in Banking and Personal financial management.
She has propagated her profession through several channels as a corporate trainer; Organisational Development and Customer Services Consultant; Counsellor and Training facilitator with The Fabulous Women Network;
Mrs Krampah is also the Manager of Paradyse Home Care for the elderly, a subsidiary of Paradyse Clinic, Ejisu.
Mrs Krampah also serves on several boards. She is Board Chairman of ‘Kayaye Ahenfie’ and board member of Mangel Klicks, Incas Diagnostics and The Telescope Journalistic Media.
She is passionate about women’s empowerment especially on issues relating to Wealth, Financial literacy and Practical Christian Living.
She continues to speak on many youth and family programs and occasionally as a sought-for radio panellist. Rita mentors female students of some Senior High Schools (SHSs) outside Kumasi as a volunteer coach in Sexual reproductive health.
Until 2015, she was Customer Services Manager in charge of the KNUST branch of Standard Chartered Bank; Rita was so well known for her passion in service quality and complaint management that she won the Bank’s first ever Service Excellence award in 2010.
She describes herself as a “humble person always ready to learn and my desire as a corporate trainer is to improve the way customer service is delivered in the country.”
Well life for her is not all about working, studying and delivering lectures and motivational speeches. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies and going on family vacations.
Rita describes her parents as phenomenal in inculcating in her the good morals she now exudes in impacting the lives of many today.
“My parents thought my two sisters, a brother and I a lot of family values which have strengthened the bond between us till today,” she admits.
Fast forward to today, Mrs. Rita Krampah is happily married to Dr. Lawyer Charles Krampah and blessed with three daughters and one son in their twenty five years of matrimony.
She describes the transition and her motherly experience as a rewarding journey full of twists and turns; learning and unlearning; challenging and rewarding.
“As your children grow, they become like your friends and the rules of engagement change. I always pray for them and seek guidance from God to train them the way they should go. I have learned so many things from my children including my mistakes because they are my loyal fans who will tell me the truth.”
“I am never too proud to learn to improve my life and the lives of my children, so I have learned how to cook their favourite meals, learned how to sew to amend their clothes,” she says with a smile.
But her motherliness does not end with her children. It extends to young senior high school ladies; her mentees; corporate ladies; the old aged and the down trodden including head porters.
Currently, Mrs. Rita Krampah is involved in two advocacy projects; the first is Sexual reproductive health education which she is embarking on with girls in SHSs to arrest the spate of teenage pregnancy and its debilitating effects on young girls.
Sharing her inspiration for this mission, she explained, “A personal research I did shows that lot of teenage pregnancies are as a result of misinformation and ignorance. Girls would take responsibility of their Sexual Reproductive Health if they know what to do and where to go for help.”
She is supporting the founder and CEO of EMB Ahenfie Naomi B. Kokuro to find decent sources of income for female head porters referred to in the local parlance as ‘Kayayes’.
The project seeks to empower and rebrand these ‘Kayayes’ living in Kumasi to become professional grocery shoppers for their clients.
The project is training and assisting female porters to be professional and embark on grocery shopping services. A mobile app has been developed to link the project to clients and the porters through their phones.
A deserving candidate of the 2018 Ultimate FM’s Mother Supremo contest slated for May 13, 2018, she already has plans for taking the first position to make a greater impact in the lives of the thousands of young ladies under her mentorship, support and training.
‘When I win the 2018 Mother Supremo, these two projects would be the beneficiaries as it would help to reach out and empower more girls and women,’ She said.
