Women are said to be less susceptible to corruption and hence can better manage key government organisations to reduce the challenge of dishonesty bedeviling the country.
This is according to the Pro VC of University of Cape Coast, Prof. George K. T. Oduro.
He says the dominance of men in key positions is the key bane on the progress in the fight against corrupt practices.
At the third “21st Century Woman” event organised by the Students’ Representative Council of University of Cape Coast, Prof. Oduro said if majority of management positions in such organisation were given to women, corruption will reduce.
The Pro VC notes per the nature of women, influencing them is difficult.
The “21st Century Woman” event is annually held to lay emphasis on empowering female students of the university.
The theme for this year was “Developing the 21st Century Woman as an Asset towards a Common Future”.
