The former President John Dramani Mahama together with members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will embark on a unity walk in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi on Saturday April 28, 2018.
The walk is expected to start at 6am at the Aboabo Post Office.
They will later converge at the Dogomoro Park for a mammoth rally.
Some of the NDC gurus have already arrived in the region which happens to be the stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), whiles others will arrive later in the evening.
The NPP has vowed to grab the three constituency seats in the region owned by the NDC in 2020 elections, but the NDC also says it is gearing up to grab some of the NPP seats.
There have been series of walks by the NDC across the country after it lost the 2016 general elections.
Mr Mahama has been punching holes in the Akufo-Addo’s government whenever he mounts the unity walk stage to address NDC supporters.
Majority of politicians and residents are itching to know the controversial issues Mr Mahama would raised when he mounts the stage tomorrow, as they flood the garden city with their party paraphernalia.
Some people have described the unity walk as a channel for the former President to sell his candidature to NDC supporters as well as Ghanaians for the 2020 elections.
But some NDC members have argued that the unity walk which is mostly led by Mr Mahama has divided the party.
