The Ashanti regional branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) election comes off tomorrow (Saturday) April 21, 2018 at Ejura Agriculture College.
The region happens to be the ‘world bank’ of the NPP.
About 800 delegates are expected to converge at the venue to elect regional officers who would be in the helm of affairs of the party for another triumphant 2020 victory.
The incumbent regional chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly called ‘Chairman Wontumi’ is the only candidate going unopposed after his close contender Robert Asare Bediako stepped down weeks ago.
