Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ghana First Patriotic Front (GFPF) and other groups are currently protesting against the Ghana–US military pact which was ratified by Parliament on March 24, 2018.
The groups have gathered at the Obra Spot in Accra with heavy security presence.
The Deputy General Secretary of NDC Koku Anyidoho was yesterday (Tuesday) charged with treason after he said in an interview with Accra-based Happy FM that there will be a civilian coup to remove the Akufo-Addo’s government.
‘There will be a civilian coup d’etat. There will be a social revolution and the movement is starting on Wednesday,’ Mr Anyidoho said.
