Addressing the opening ceremony of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations 57th Annual Conference under the theme: “Making the Future Ours”, President Akufo Addo said the anticipated growth of the Aviation industry globally require that governments in all countries ought to put in place the requisite investments, infrastructure and air navigation systems to ensure that the industry is up to speed with the technological dynamism it needs.
“Meeting technical, international safety and security standards is critical to the success of the single African air transport market. In this regard, the African Civil Aviation Commission is working with the International Civil Aviation Organization under the later’s no “country left behind” initiative to improve Civil Aviation safety and security in Africa.

Ghana’s Minister for Aviation, Cecilia Abena Dapaah in her welcome statement said Ghana like many other countries is taken strong initiatives to upgrade it’s air navigation service facilitates and other aviation infrastructure with the aim of improving on the safety and efficiency of its air navigation services delivery and to achieve the ICAO goal of “No Country Left Behind”.
