Four (4) persons have been confirmed dead in two separate fatal motor vehicles collision at Akyem Asafo stretch of Accra to Kumasi Highways in the Eastern region.
The two vehicles, a Chrysler Saloon private car with registration number GE 9302-14 and a Daf cargo Truck with registration number AS 2281-17 all ran into a Man Diesel trailer truck with Registration number GC2790-09 facing Kumasi direction but parked nearside pavement off the road resulting in the fatal accidents.
The bodies of the four deceased persons have been deposited in the morgue.
Confirming the accidents to Ultimate News, the Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh explained that, the first incident occurred at about 7:30pm on March 18,2018 and that the Driver Rexford Manu,58, now deceased who was in charge of the Chrysler Saloon private car travelling from Ntotroso towards Accra, ran into the Man Diesel Trailer Truck parked near pavement off the roadside killing the driver,Rexford Manu, on the spot.
He said the following day March 19, 2018 at about 4:30am, a Daf Cargo truck travelling from Kumasi direction loaded with boxes of tomatoes also ran into same parked Man Diesel truck killing three occupants on board the truck.
