The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tano South in the Brong Ahafo, Collins Offinam Takyi has denied a news item which suggests that Prophet Eric Amponsah popularly known as “Computer Man” has constructed a durbar grounds for the Dwomo community.
‘Computer Man’ is said to have said he constructed the durbar grounds.
But addressing the media at a Press Conference at Dwomo, the MCE denied allegations from Prophet Eric Amponsah of putting a modern community centre with a 4,000 capacity and also renovated the Dwomo Market.
He pointed out that the renovation of the Dwomo Market was solely financed by the then Tano South District Assembly through the MP’s share of the Common Fund.
Mr. Takyi also debunked the accusation that he frustrated an investor from the USA who has the intention of establishing a Jewelry factory at Dwomo.
He noted that the Municipality needs jobs for the unemployed youth so he has no intention of frustrating people who have intentions of bringing developments to the Municipality.
Mr. Takyi also denied meddling in Dwomo Chieftaincy issues.
