Renowned broadcaster Kwaku Sakyi-Addo has lashed out at Ghanaians who are sharing lifeless photos of dancehall artiste who died on Thursday night at Mankranso in a gory accident.
According to him, such conduct hurt the sensibilities of families who are already hurt.
In a tweet, he stated that the practice is backward advising people sharing the photos on social media to grow up.
The Board Chairman of the National Communications Authority (NCA) questioned when Ghanaians will stop circulating gory pictures of accident victims.
‘Why take such pleasure in hurting the sensibilities of families who’re already hurting? What’s your gain in their pain? Have u ever seen images of any of the victims of terrorism in London, Paris, Belgium or US? Come on, people, stop it. It’s backward. Grow up. Mature. Civilize!. I’ve just seen a photo of the body of Ebony posted on a WhatsApp forum I’m on. I saw the blurred image and didn’t open it. I promptly deleted it. Now, when will Ghanaians stop circulating these gory pictures of accident victims?,’ he tweeted.
Ebony died with two others when their Jeep collided with a VIP bus at Mankranso in the Brong Ahafo region.
