The Asokwa district court has adjourned the case involving the boys who allegedly gang raped a girl at Bantama, a suburb of Kumasi to next week January 17, 2017.
One more suspect has also been arrested in connection with the gang rape bringing the total number of suspects arrested to five.
The juveniles have been remanded into custody again, after they spent Christmas in juvenile cells.
Speaking to the media after the case which was held ‘in camera’, lawyer for the juveniles John Boamah said that the prosecutors have requested for more time to enable them investigate the case.
The case has attracted the attention of some notable persons including Nana Oye Lithur former Minster of Gender and Social Protection under the Mahama administration as well as the National Director of DOVVSU.
The two were present in court today but refused to comment on the issue.
The about five minutes video shows an underage girl pinned to a mattress by one of her abusers while his accomplices take turns to perform sexual acts on her.
