Health Nurses at the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital have resolved to embark on a total strike today at 1pm if the ministry of health does not rescind its decision to make the medical director of the facility stay on for three months within which his activities will be monitored.
The nurses and workers last week embarked on a sit down strike leaving patients to their fate.
The decision was taken today after leaders of the health workers briefed the members on the decision by the minister of health to give Dr. Eugene Dordoye three months period to do his home work by creating the right environment to support work at the facility.
The decision has since angered the health workers who believe the ministry of health is trying to shield the man.
They have therefore passed a vote of no confidence in the medical director and are calling on the ministry to replace him at the facility failure which they will totally withdraw their services.
