Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa George Ayisi Boateng has finally rendered an unqualified apology to the Presidency as well as Ghanaians over his comment that sparked public outcry.
Retracting his comment in a signed statement, the Commissioner said, ‘I have realised that my statement is unfortunate and a variance of with the letter and spirit of the Ghanaian constitution and the dignified office of High Commissioner that I occupy’.
Mr Ayisi Boateng in an interaction with the student group of New Patriotic Party (NPP), TESCON said NPP supporters are his topmost priority and that he will place them above any other Ghanaian when offering job opportunities.
He admitted that he has the responsibility of protecting the interest of all Ghanaians no matter their political colours thereby giving them equal opportunities.
