Remove Ankaful Hospital Medical Director -Psychiatric Nurses Group

A group calling itself Psychiatric Nurses Group (PNG) Ankaful branch have demonstrated and petitioned the health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu through the Mental health authority to remove the Hospital Director, Dr. Eugene Dordoye citing issues of poor relationship and show of disrespectfulness to staff.

In the 3 pages petition, the concerned staff claimed that the hospital director embarrasses leadership of the nursing administration in the midst of trainee nurses, patients and relatives.

They further accused Mr. Eugene Dordoye of purchasing a three 32 Inc LG television at cost of GHC20880 with each costing 5220 and also using the hospital Nissan Navara Pick-Up by the hospital directors’ wife to run her private catering services.

According to the group, he has also taken over virtually every unit preventing division of labour and distribute government bungalow to his favourite without consulting the estate manager and equally evacuated qualified staff on several occasions which has left to litigation in court at the moment.

On promotion, the group noted that, the director was on record to have said on many platforms that he will not upgrade staff who offered sandwich programmes and are holding BSc certificates in Nursing but will only promote staff due for promotion by using his own criteria.

Meanwhile, a fact finding committee has been set up by the Mental health authority to investigate the allegations that are contained in the petition.

Health director of the Hospital, Mr. Eugene Dordoye has failed to comment on the issues awaiting the findings of the committee.
