Delta Force ’13’ fined GH?1,800 each

13 members of the pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) Delta Force have been fined GH?1,800 each, in default they will serve 12 months in prison.

The Asokwa District Court in Kumasi presided over by Korkor Achaw Owusu on Thursday asked the group to sign a bond of good behaviour for 12 months.

They pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit crime by rioting.

 

The group was standing trial for assaulting the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator George Adjei after protesting against his appointment.

The group with the help of their 8 colleagues escaped court custody when they first appeared in court.
