Spokesperson for the Winneba National Sports College Florence Adam has expressed worry over the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) constant neglect in selecting players from the college into the various National teams.
The Government Sports College has produced footballers like Godwin Atram, Abieku Quansah, and Samuel Inkoom who played for the various age teams in the country.
However, in recent times players from this college are not given any opportunity to exhibit their talent in any of the national teams.
Florence is of the view that, the FA should take drastic measures to make sure the talent produced from the government college does not go waste.
“The college is for the government. We have an academy, a team and who can play for both the U-17 and the U-20,” she revealed.
“It will be in the right sense if we are given some slot to present some players base on their performance they get to feature in any of the national team.”
