Asante Kotoko striker Sadick Adams is positive the club’s president’s cup victory against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak can inspire the team to victory against Medeama in the league on Sunday.
Kotoko take on the Mauve and Yellows at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday on the back of an impressive run of form under new coach Steve Polack.
The bulky striker has made his presence felt anytime he gets the opportunity to wear the red jersey – sending shivers down the spine of his opponent due to his impressive display since joining the Porcupine Warriors.
“We [Kotoko] are putting the [Hearts] victory behind us to concentrate on the Medeama game on Sunday,” Saddick said during Kotoko training.
“We just have to be ourselves and play our normal. Medeama will come in with their playing style and can’t say we will dominate to the end.
“It’s going to be a tough game but at the end of the day I hope Kotoko carries the day,” he added.
The Tarkwa-based side has won only one of their last seven visits to the Baba Yara stadium – a 0-1 win in 2010/2011 league season.
The Porcupines on the other hand look set to continue to their unbeaten run under Steven Polack and avenge the first defeat suffered against the Yellow and Mauves on Sunday.
