The Ashanti region command of the National Fire Service has cautioned it will soon come after unauthorized fuel sales points in Kumasi arguing that it poses threats to lives and property.
The service says it has noticed some outlets selling petrol and diesel at cheaper prices on the blind side of regulatory bodies.
This fuel is usually smuggled into the country and dispensed to known customers including drivers of taxis, trotros, truck and excavators.
The Regional Fire Public Relations Officer ADO-1 Desmond Ackah warns the development is a threat to the region.
He tells Ultimate News the Regional Fire Command and the relevant regulatory bodies are collaborating to halt all such operations.
