Lecturers with the University of Education Winneba campus in Kumasi have described as unfortunate the closure of all campuses of the university blaming authorities for negligence.
The four campuses of the school was temporarily closed down on Tuesday after a court order barred the council of the University from operating.
It follows a writ filed by a citizen Kofi Kwayera challenging the legal standing of the council whose tenure he contends has expired.
Speaking in an interview with Ultimate News, a lecturer with the Kumasi Campus of the University Aaron Kuma demanded that the university takes cue from the unfortunate development to prevent a recurrence of such consequences.
The determination of the fate of the case will be held in court on Friday June 16, 2017.
Mr Kuma who is with the Management department of the University of Education Winneba said, ‘every organisation must have a properly constituted board and management to run the affairs of the school. So if there are problems with your board or management, it means there is a problem, I think its supposed to be something we should all take cue, when such an issue happens, it serves as a lesson to every other person’.
