Constable Micheal Kporyi, a Police officer with the Tema Regional Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) has been killed by unidentified armed men at Afariwa near Michel Camp.
The Constable, whose body was found in a nearby bush in a pool of blood was shot by the suspected armed robbers whiles on duty.
The suspected robbers were riding a motorbike when they shot the police officer who was also patrolling on a motorbike wearing his uniform.
According to eyewitnesses, the two suspected robbers sped off after shooting him.
The deceased who had multiple wounds on his body is reported to have fallen off the motorbike landing into a gutter.
Items found on the policeman include: torch light, handcuffs, AK47 rifle and pepper spray.
His body has been deposited at the hospital morgue.
