The Former Chief Justice of Ghana, Her Ladyship Georgina Wood has disclosed that she resisted attempts by some appointees of the former President late Atta Mills’ administration to resign.
According to her, her trying moments as the first female to occupy that position was during the late Atta Mill’s government.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service organised by the church she worships, Ringway Assemblies of God to celebrate her 70th birthday on Thursday, she revealed that one of her church members prophesised that she ignores the political pressure.
The former Ladyship eulogised Justice Jones Dotse for supporting him through thick and thin.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of Parliament Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye has announced the appointment of the Rtd Chief justice unto the Council of State, as a living chief justice.
