GREEN STREET CONSOLES THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF CAPTAIN MAXWELL MAHAMA
It is sad to realize that a young and patriotic soldier who has been assigned to a national assignment as important as combating illegal mining has met his untimely death.
The 2016 flagbearer of the convention peoples party wishes to extend his condolence to the immediate and extended family of the deceased.
I am also calling for a full and thorough investigations into this unfortunate incident. Government should also step up, his game in terms of security.
The instances of instant justice and mob action is becoming too much in a country where laws exist.
I am also calling on the Ghana armed forces to remain calm and exercise restraints in this difficult moment, and allow the laws of the land to work.
The convention peoples party is following keenly this case and hope that justice is delivered.
