“A mother is one who not only has the capacity but the ability to find all resources necessary to do what she can to help anyone who comes her way. It can be a grown up, a little child and that is where a mother will really portray her motherhood by nurturing that person so they can be on their feet.”
That is how Lady Pastor Regina Hage defines a mother. The fifty year old mother of five is married to Bishop Nassib Hage a bishop in the Atonsu branch of the Light House Chapel International.
She holds masters of Philosophy in Computer Science, a house wife, a marriage Counsellor and a Minister supporting her husband in church.
She is an old student of the Holy Child Senior Secondary School and the Sekondi College where she had her secondary and sixth form education. She is also an alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Lady Pastor Hage’s passion is charity work, a trait she groomed as a young catholic girl who worked with nuns in convents on several philanthropic outreaches.
“I grew up as a staunch catholic and I enjoyed working with the nuns at the convent. I used to do a lot of charitable things and at a point; I wished I could be a nun myself. One person I really admired who was so selfless was mother Theresa and I wished I could be her but now that I am a charismatic with the word of God to do good as a Christian, I take a lot of my inspiration from the word of God to do anything,” she intimated.
She also has a flaming passion for all people to be educated no matter the financial and social background of the individual.
There are two best things that you can give to any human being on this earth,” she says.
“The first is to give the person God. The second thing is to give the person education,” she adds.
“So for me, my priority is to educate the unfortunate ones or those who have no one whatsoever to help them take them to school. If you make those sacrifices, you will realize that some are very intelligent but they are just there and there is no one to help them. With the little push you give them, they can reach the university, study hard and progress to the top. These are the ones I will love to focus on to help when I win the contest,”
It appears all five contestants in the Mother Supremo Contest will have quite a herculean task dealing with Lady Pastor Regina Hage on her cooking skills because she insists she is coming in to “teach the others cooking.”
“I would want to invite all my loved ones. I happen to counsel you in Bantama and Asokwa and some of you have come personally for me to help you with cooking skills. I am on the 14th at Ultimate FM doing a whole demo on all sorts of food. Come partake of it, come and learn something and take it to your kitchen. I believe it will be a blessing.”
It’s live on the premises of Ultimate 106.9FM in Kumasi on Mothers’ Day May 14 2017.
Five honoured mothers will go through family and mother oriented contests to wear the Mother Supremo Crown and champion a social impact project sponsored by Ultimate FM.
