The United States Ambassador to Ghana Robert Jackson has disclosed that the Donald Trump administration in America will soon deport 7,000 Ghanaians.
Addressing Journalists in the Brong Ahafo region on Thursday, he explained, “In fact about 7,000 of them are currently at different stages of the deportation process. And we are not apologetic about that’.
His comment comes few hours after the UK High Commission in Ghana cited three Members of Parliament (MPs) and a former one for breaching UK traveling laws.
The UK High Commission explained that these MPs who have been banned from traveling to the UK within the next ten years used their diplomatic passports to apply for visas for some persons who never returned.
The four MPs include: former MP for Asunafo South George Boakye, NDC MP for Bia East constituency in the Western region Richard Acheampong, NPP MP for Ntotroso constituency in the Brong Ahafo Joseph Benhazin Dahah and MP for Ahafo Ano South West Johnson Kwaku Adu.
