The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to deliver his State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday February 21, 2017.
This will be his first address after being sworn in as the 5th President of the 4th Republic in January 7, 2017 at the Independence Square, Accra.
The State of the Nation Address is in fulfilment of Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution that states: “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before the dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the state of the nation.”
The President is expected to explain strategies of his policies such as one district- one factory, one- village- one dam and free Senior High School (SHS).
Ghanaians are expecting the President to give details of plans to solve issues bedevilling the country’s economy.
The President is expected to be accompanied by some of his ministers and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
