The exercise scheduled to begin at 10am at the conference hall of the regional Electoral Commission (EC) is yet to commence, because, majority of the 50 member electoral college are yet to arrive at the venue.
Two of the delegates who are currently at the venue are however alleging their colleagues are being camped at the Volta Regional minister’s residence.
According to them, the Volta Regional Minister-Designate, Dr. Archibald Letsa and regional coordinating director, Alhaji Ibrahim Alhassan are lobbying the delegates to vote for their favourite candidate, Togbe Gbogbolulu V, paramount chief of Vakpo.
Nonetheless, the regional EC director, Selormey Dogbey Adukpo is urging calm as he gave a 30minutes grace period after which proceedings will commence.
