A section of Ghanaians are asking why the former President John Dramani Mahama copied the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in his State bungalow withdrawal letter to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In a random interview with ultimatefmonline.com, some people questioned why the former President chose to copy the Asante King when there are equally traditional chiefs in the Greater Accra who are custodians of lands.
They wondered if it has to do with the long relationship between the former President and Otumfuo or the latter was one of the many people who advised him to let go off the bungalow.
‘Why didn’t the former President Mahama copy other chiefs in the country as well, what is the connection?. If he should copy anybody it should have been the Ga Mantse why Asantehene?’, they asked.
People are asking if the Asantehene was part of the meeting to let go off the bungalow or otherwise.
Some people have also taken to social media asking the same mind boggling question.
Former President Mahama wrote to the government transitional team to allow him continue to stay in his State bungalow but a section of Ghanaians kicked against the idea.
