Former President John Dramani Mahama has officially withdrawn a request to government to use No.3 Prestige Link, Cantonments and No.6 Third Avenue, Ridge as his official residence.
Former Minister of Communications Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah who revealed this a while ago on his facebook page stated “Former President John Dramani Mahama, has this morning, politely informed President Nana Akufo-Addo of his decision to withdraw his earlier request for the use of No.3 Prestige Link, Cantonments and No.6 Third Avenue, Ridge as his official residence and office respectively.
The request for No.3 Prestige Link was informed by a prior agreement between the two leaders, but following the recent controversy about the use of the facility, the former President has decided to withdraw the request.
Former President Mahama’s decision to use his present residence as his retirement home has generated heated controversy in the media between former government appointees and the incoming government.
